The Bureau of Artistic Rehab, or the B.A.R., ran in 2013 as an alternative exhibition space that featured a diversity of expression and curatorial programs representing Manila's best emerging talents alongside worldwide partners and institutions. The B.A.R.'s goal was to establish a distinct social and artistic identity with a statement of stylish provocation. The B.A.R. was initiated by the artist Manuel Ocampo, whose irreverent art of social critique has been shown locally and abroad, which extends to his curatorial work with the group Bastards of Misrepresentation.
