Dr. Renate Buschmann
The Challenge of preserving and presenting and presenting video and media art.
Saturday, May 30, 2015, 2 to 5 pm
The material in works of media art is no longer the sole guarantor of authenticity - even less so for long-term accessibility. Only the equipment manufactured by the visibility and spatial exhibition of analog and digital sources lead us to a perception of such works of art.
Therefore, the workshop deals with the critical decision-making process, which is necessary for the presentation of media art. The participants will discuss how to balance the historical materiality of the works and its current functionality and timeliness.
